“H-hey!”

“H-hey!”

It wasn’t as if Sayaka hadn’t expected to run into the redhead here out of all places. One thing the swordsman had figured out whilst knowing Kyouko were some of the spots she would often hand about. Thankfully, her assumption that she would meet up with her here was correct. However, she had once more gotten distracted just thinking about the girl a few feet away from her before she ended up right then and there in her face.
Still, she said nothing but merely jumped at the sudden voice. A small but noticeable shiver ran through her body at the feeling of the lancer’s warm breath against her cheek. “Hm?” Sayaka brushed the feeling away as she moved away slightly but kept her gaze elsewhere.
“I don’t really know to be completely honest.” That was bullshit and they both knew it. “Something told me to come over here. So, I did. And what exactly are you doing here?”
Kyouko hummed lightly at her words. Sayaka wasn’t a very good liar to begin with, and she didn’t like that she was at all. Oh well. It was early in the day, and she wouldn’t push it. But it was still slightly bothersome. Had Sayaka been expecting her? It seemed that way. Giving a small smile regardless, she stepped to the side a bit.
“I was lookin’ for you,” She said, almost as if Sayaka should’ve known that. Well, with Kyouko, there weren’t that many things that she did that didn’t involve the blue-haired girl. “But, anyway, that don’t matter or nothin’. If ya don’t know what ya were doin’ here, then what do ya plan on doin’?” If Sayaka answered, then she’d probably request that she accompany her. After all, any time spent not making the other happy was time wasted, in her mind.
A smile ghosted the bluenette’s lips as she decided to go for a small shake of her head in response. “I should have figured as much.” Her comment went unheard, or rather unacknowledged, and perhaps it was better that way.
“To be completely honest,” Sayaka let out a small sigh. “I don’t have anything planned.” There was a slight pause between the two magi. Awkwardly, Sayaka rubbed the back of her neck as she looked away to avoid the other’s gaze. “If you’re not doing anything we could hang out, if you want to.”
The wind seemed to pick up speed considerably in the past twenty minutes. from when Sayaka had left school for the day. A lot colder than was expected during this time of year. It wasn’t as if she could complain, though, the weather was comfortable enough to be outside.
Sayaka currently stood atop the roof of the mall and watched the busy streets below her with a small smile. Everyone was running around, always in a hurry. This was what she liked. Being able to distance herself from the normal crowd of people for even just an hour and watch everything… it was almost relaxing to the azure magi. For just a few moments… she didn’t have to worry about being a magical girl or about school or any of that.
Perhaps it was the fact that so much had happened in the past month that had caused the ocean-eyed girl to become more distant. Her best friend had died. Her other friend had stolen the boy of her dreams. Right now, the only one she even bothered to talk to by choice was an annoying redhead whom she had once fought with and ended up being her savior.
Yes, Kyouko. Her true thoughts on the firey puella were mixed ones and she had no idea exactly where they stood on any level of friendship. It was too confusing for Sayaka to think about, let alone attempt to approach in conversation. No, for now, the bluenette was content to have someone to talk to every now and then. Only one person. That’s all she needed.
Leaning onto the railing in front of her, Sayaka gripped the metal as she stared out ahead thoughtfully. The coldness of the metal was a slight reminder that she was alive. Well, sort of alive. She didn’t know what to call it. A zombie? Perhaps.
As she remained lost in her own thoughts, she was vaguely aware of the sound of footsteps behind her.
For Kyouko, the day had started as per usual - with a mild anxiousness, a wary sense that she had become accustomed to feeling before the day’s events unfolded. This was mostly because, while she could easily do it, she didn’t like to have to change her moods drastically all the time. She wanted to be able to pick up a mood and stick with it, depending on what happened.
But what was this? Not soon into her surprisingly early, she found herself in a mix of surprised and delighted. Now, Kyouko wasn’t one to frequent places with many people, but it was earlier, so it was fine. The moment she saw the blue-haired girl, her face lit up with a smile.
There, right there, was probably the only reason for the small remaining sanity she had left. She took a moment to appreciate Sayaka herself before she even thought to approach. The way her short hair bobbed with her movements, just her simple frame made Kyouko remember exactly why she was still around in the first place.
Finally sighing and making her way toward her, she leaned over the other’s shoulder, as Sayaka seemed to be in some sort of trance, she grinned. “Hey, Sayaka? Looks like yer starin’ off in’ta space or somethin’,” Kyouko chimed. “What’re ya up to here? I didn’t expect ta run in with ya here.”

UNLESS I SPECIFICALLY STATE THAT MY CHARACTER IS CHEATING ON SOMEONE. ASSUME ALL RELATIONS GO INTO A DIFFERENT VERSE.
“Kyaah!” Sayaka turned a dark red as she pushed down her skirt, jumping away from the sea-weed haired girl.

“H-Hitomi! Jeez, you’re hopeless. I leave for a little bit and you act so weird!”

“… Sometimes, I think you’d actually be good friends with Kyouko…” Sayaka added quietly to herself.
